The Team Member of the Year Award recognizes a team member who consistently raises the bar for customer satisfaction and embodies the very best qualities Merry Maids has to offer. Team Member of the Year is considered a prestigious and highly sought after award that all team members across the country are eligible to receive from nominations by their peers and management.  Every year a large field of nominees is narrowed to just 15 finalists, and Melanie Parsons of the Towson Merry Maids office in Towson, Maryland was selected as 2012 Team Member of the Year.  In September, Melanie was honored for her outstanding work on-stage at Merry Maids Seminar in SanDestin, Florida. 

Melanie cleans an average of 25 houses per week. She consistently exceeds her customers’ expectations, bringing in over 200 compliments a year.  What sets Melanie apart is the concern and compassion she shows for her customers, who describe her as “a blessing” and consider her “family”. Melanie forms such a strong relationship with her customers that she can often be found helping them outside the typical work week. Recently, Melanie helped a customer move when they had nobody else to call, and when customers have been hospitalized, Melanie can always be counted on to visit and show her support. As a team captain and trainer, Melanie leads by example, and is a sincerely compassionate individual, whose commitment to her team and her customers exceeds anything listed on a service agreement.
