What is the difference between Merry Maids and other cleaning companies?

Merry Maids® does more than just take care of homes—we take care of people. We give you back the time you deserve so that you can focus on what matters most. We have 40 years of experience in professional home cleaning, which has allowed us to develop advanced, thorough processes that deliver unrivaled, worry-free results. That's our specialty. We clean hundreds of thousands of homes across the United States and Canada, and even in other countries like the United Kingdom and Japan. Our Merry Maids team understands the importance of earning and keeping your trust, which is why we clean thoroughly and efficiently while respecting your space. Our 5-Star Promise represents our commitment to ensuring premium customer satisfaction with every single cleaning.

Are your cleaning products safe for pets and children?

We know you strive to protect your kids’ and pets health and safety, and so do we! Merry Maids® uses environmentally friendly and pet-safe cleaning products.

Are your cleaners insured and bonded?

Yes, all Merry Maids® cleaners are insured and bonded so you can feel secure in your home cleaning choice.

How often should I schedule a deep cleaning service?

For most homeowners, a one-time deep cleaning every 6 to 12 months is usually sufficient. If you aren't receiving regular cleaning on a weekly or bi-monthly basis, you may want to schedule cleanings more frequently.

Can I ask for special requests or request focus on certain areas?

Yes! We are happy to accommodate any special requests you may have. If parts of your home are especially cluttered or untidy, our team can spend their time just on those areas so that you get the best value for your money. Common special requests we receive include: de-griming baseboards, cleaning inside cabinets, removing pet hair from furniture, and de-cluttering closets.

Professional Home Cleaners in Gainesville, GA

Merry Maids of Northeast Georgia was established in 2004 by Charles and Leann Praigg. Our roots run deep in the service industry. After 9/11 when the hospitality industry took a hit, we - once hotel professionals ourselves - found a new calling in helping families feel safe, clean, and cared for at home.

As Merry Maids customers, we saw firsthand the comfort and consistency the brand delivers. That experience inspired us to join the Merry Maids family as owners, bringing our attention to detail, service-first mindset, and deep commitment to cleanliness to homes across Virginia, Georgia and South Carolina.

Today, we proudly serve neighborhoods throughout Northeast Georgia like Gainesville, Cumming, Dawonsville and Dahlonega with the same heart we once poured into hospitality—now focused on your home. We know you are busy and we are here to help you take back your time!

We are proud to support our Northeast Georgia community. We are very familiar with the local neighborhoods from the townhouses of Alpharetta to the farmhouses of Lula. We know you are busy and we are here to help you take back your time!

Branch Manager

As the Branch Manager of Merry Maids of Hall and Forsyth Counties, Josh brings not only leadership but loyalty to his role—and also a lifetime of hands-on experience. As a second generation, Josh grew up immersed in the Merry Maids family, folding towels and cleaning equipment at eight years old and learning the value of hard work from an early age.

With a degree from UNG Dahlonega under his belt, Josh runs the day-to-day operations and combines a deep understanding of the business with a modern approach to team development and customer service. When he’s not at work, Josh enjoys spending quality time with his new wife and their dogs. He is a walking encyclopedia of Georgia sports - always ready to talk stats and share game-day insights. Josh also loves being outdoors, either on Lake Lanier or hiking in the beautiful North Georgia mountains that surround our community.

Sherena

Sherena joined our team in 2016 and has been the energetic heart of our office operations. As Office Manager, she’s the friendly voice on the phone and the go-to for handling everything from scheduling changes to special requests. She truly keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Sherena is a proud mom of five, including three little ones under the age of six who keep her on her toes. When she has downtime, she enjoys indulging her husband’s love for Harley rides and her love for a different type of cruising - on a cruise ship!
