Position Overview

Professionally clean residential homes using unique cleaning procedures and products while performing cleaning in conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness. The ideal candidate will provide world class customer service when interacting with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

In a Housekeeping position with Merry Maids, you will be responsible for:

  • Using cleaning products and procedures to clean residential homes
  • Sweeping , vacuuming , and washing all hard surface floors on hands and knees
  • Cleaning all hanging light fixtures, baseboards and windowsills each visit
  • Moving all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind
  • Performing customer service and quality control
  • Resolving customer issues before leaving home

Outside Sales Representative

Job Description

Generates sales revenue in assigned territory. Generate lead prospects face-to-face at the customer's location for the purpose of selling Merry Maids services. ServiceMaster is committed to Diversity and Inclusion. We encourage diverse candidates to apply to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles list of prospective customers based on information from ads, community activities, customer referrals, door hangers and other resources.
  • Sells services to new customers.
  • Conducts all sales calls at potential customers' homes (including nights and weekends as needed).
  • Determines pricing based on an in-home inspection; and follow procedures for appropriate bid pricing.
  • Meet branch standards for bid conversion, total sales, dollars by quarter and weekly/biweekly customers' totals and product mix.
  • Correctly completes service proposals on IPAD and legibly document customer preferences, credit card information, detailed instructions and directions to customers' homes.
  • Follow-up on leads via telephone or face-to-face contact.
  • Use the "Right Now" database to maintain appropriate sales data and to submit reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of sales supplies and customer incentives.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • College degree preferred
  • 2 + years of outside sales or retail experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • General knowledge of the industry, organization, products, and/or services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
  • Ability to find and assess potential sales opportunities
  • Ability to build customer relationships and provide appropriate levels of customer service
  • Strong communication (verbal and written)
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area and circumference.

Office Assistant

Job Description

Handles all incoming customer lead calls generating calls to appointments, participates in hiring process and administrative functions supporting employees and customers including the completion of office tasks for the branch operation.

Essential Functions of Office Assistant includes

  • Handle customer inquiries and follow telephone scripts to persuade potential customers to schedule an in-home consultation or prospective employees to complete an employment application.
  • Responsible for the supply and intake of lead calls and accurate completion (100%) of the lead card.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls within 3 rings.
  • Assist in New Hire Orientation, new hire paperwork and the maintenance of employee paperwork processes.
  • Accurately and consistently documents lead process in the sales appointment book to include customer name, address and phone numbers.
  • Follow internal procedures for scheduling and confirming bids including completion of correct color coding in sales appointment book.
  • Confirm prospective customer appointments with a "live" phone call within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
  • Maintain telephone log for all incoming calls other than lead calls.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies.
  • Maintain procedural flow of lead cards (referencing current Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Responsible for data entry to CIS.
  • Maintain all business files including customer files, closed leads, employee files, etc.
  • Prepare team member books and assignments for the scheduled day.
  • Plan and organize customer schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and professional office area.
  • Maintain positive customer and employee relation.
  • Assist in the maintenance and preparation of cleaning product dispensers and cleaning cloths.
  • Perform all office functions and other reasonable, related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements for Office Assistant

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of general business experience with customer interface preferred.
