Cleaning For A Reason

Cleaning For A Reason is a non-profit agency who offers free cleaning who are undergoing treatment for cancer. They have served over 25,000 women. We have been a partner of theirs for 8 years and have helped 37 women in our community. It is very easy to apply, and someone can even apply for a loved one here in Beaufort, or any other town across America. They are always accepting donations, and appreciate all the help they receive.

CAPA

We recently partnered with Child Abuse Prevention Association. They do many fundraisers that we participate in including Angel Tree in December to get new unwrapped toys for local children. Last year, CAPA was able to have something under the tree for 400 local children. In April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Month, they do Pin to Prevent. You donate $1 for each pinwheel to 'pin' in a friend or family member's yard. We will be helping "pin" the yards in April of 2018. They are always accepting donations, and appreciate all the help they receive.

The Lowcountry Jaycees

http://www.lcjaycees.org/

The Lowcountry Jaycees, also known as the Junior Chamber of Commerce, are the  premiere leadership training and community service organization for women and men between the ages of 21 and 40. They run a statewide residential camp each year for citizens with intellectual disabilities located at Clemson Outdoor Lab, this camp has been supported by South Carolina Jaycees since 1969.

For some campers and their families, Jaycee Camp Hope is the only opportunity for a retreat. While it is a learning retreat for the camper, it is a well-received life retreat for the parents that give so unselfishly every day. This camp would not be possible if it were not for the generous donors of the state of South Carolina. Any individual with an Intellectual Disability age 7 or older may apply to attend Jaycee Camp Hope.

For the second year, the Lowcountry Jaycees host a local food truck festival, and this year it will be held on October 13, 2018. This festival is to fund the camp and help campers and their families financially to be able to attend. Merry Maids is proud to sponsor this event and work where we work best, cleaning tables so festival goers have a nice spot to sit and eat. Come and see us there!!
