Merry Maids of Winchester (and Martinsburg, WVA) is owned and operated by Tom McDermott and Will Johnson. Our offices, located in Winchester, VAand Martinsburg, WVA are managed by Darrell McClellan who began working for Merry Maids in September, 2009. As the Franchise Manager, Darrell is responsible for all “day-to-day” activities at each location including sales, recruiting and operations. Darrell is an active supporter and participant of the Cancer Survivors Network and The Race for Breath. Between Tom, Will and Darrell, our management team has over 60 years of experience running our Merry Maids businesses.
Jamie Durm began her career with Merry Maids as an Office Assistant in June, 2009. Recently, Jamie was promoted to an Operational Support position, responsible for Customer Service, Quality Control and Training in both locations. Jamie and husband Bruce reside in Martinsburg, WVA.
Our organization proudly supports the American Heart Association’s “GO RED FOR WOMAN” program. Team Members have in the past demonstrated their support by collecting donations from our customers and wearing red shirts during the month of February.
The other cause we are passionate about is supporting woman suffering from cancer. Through our partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Merry Maids provides the gift of a free home cleaning for woman actively undergoing treatment. We have a “heart and soul” for cleaning and want to share our service with women in our community during this difficult time in their lives. Our Team Members wear pink shirts on days we service our Cleaning for a Reason patients.
Last, Merry Maids offers a college scholarship called The GPM Scholarship Program to the children of all full time employees. The scholarship has been developed to honor the mother of one of our founders, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2009. Merry Maids will fund the scholarship up to $5,000 per year.
