What type of services do you offer?
We offer many types of service to cater to all of our clients. The most popular ones are:

Ongoing regular maintenance:

  • Weekly, Bi-weekly and Four-weekly Cleaning Services: We can set up reoccurring cleaning services to maintain your home. When set up with regular service we lock you into a day with a set captain to maintain consistency in your home.
  • One-time cleans: We understand that life can be hectic. Whether you have company coming to visit, you’re hosting the holidays at your home this year or you just need a deep clean to allow yourself to maintain your home easier. We offer options to fit your budget and priorities. We do our best to accommodate even the last minute calls for day of cleaning for those unexpected visitors!
  • On-call Service: This type of service is ideal for people who cannot commit to a regular service with us due to their schedule or other reasons but like having us come regularly. You can even request the same captain and leave your key on file to make booking easier with us!
  • Move Out/Move In Cleans: Everyone knows moving can be hectic. Allow us to take care the hard cleaning so you can focus on other priorities. Whether you have a specific list from your landlord or you need a detailed cleaning to include appliances, inside of cabinets or windows we can customize you’re cleaning on your needs and keeping your budget in mind.
How much do you charge?

We customize every in home estimate to fit YOUR needs. With almost 25 years of experience we know every home is unique and used in different ways. We offer 2 options for our clients. We know not every home is a one size fits all so we have a full system option OR we offer an hourly option where the client is in control not us. We believe you should be able to receive the type of cleaning that fits YOU not us.

We price your home based on many factors which include the size of your home, the frequency of service, pets, flooring types, clutter and how you’re using your home. For anyone interested in setting up regular service we highly recommend an in home estimate. One of the owners would come out free of charge to assess your home and explain our cleaning process as well as get a feel for how you’re using your home to be able to determine what is best for you.

Are your team members trained?

Every new team member go through an intensive 2 week training program. Each morning prior to going out in the field the trainee and one of the owners reviews one on one the upcoming day and our cleaning procedures. During that 2 weeks they are out in the field with a training captain each day learning how we clean and proper procedures. They are never released out of training until the training captain and owner sign them off with a perfect score 2 consecutive days to ensure they are prepared to enter the field as an equal team mate.

What areas do you service?

We have owned and have been servicing the entire peninsula since 1995. Locations including: Toano, Williamsburg, York County/Poquoson, Newport News, Hampton, LAFB, Smithfield, Hayes.

Do you clean windows?

Yes, we clean inside windows as well as outside windows if they are tilt in.

I have pets, can you still clean?

Yes, Merry Maids is pet friendly. We know your pets are a part of your family, which is why all of our team members are pet friendly as well as our products. We even get the name of your pets so we can address them by name in the home to make them feel more comfortable. We’ve even developed specific procedures for cleaning up pet hair with specific tools and techniques that leave your home as close to hairless as we can get it!
