Celebrate International Women’s Day — Success By the Numbers

While the U.S. BLS reports that the percentage of women in the workforce has changed little over the past several decades, the roles they play have definitely grown. Take a look at some of these amazing facts from the U.S. Department of Labor

  • There are almost 74.6 million women in the civilian labor force.
  • Almost 47 percent of U.S. workers are women.
  • Women own close to 10 million businesses, accounting for $1.4 trillion in receipts.
  • 70 percent of mothers with children under 18 participate in the labor force, with over 75 percent employed full time.
